Happy Homemaker Monday - 12/15/2014

Hello everyone! Well it's been a long time since I haven't posted, but I've been busy busy busy! I've done so many Christmas crafts that you can't even imagine! A friend of mine opened a craft shop and asked me to help her crafting Christmas  goods! They were a success and we haven't stopped since October! So, with the housework, helping my son at school, teaching and crafting, I didn't have much time left to blog. But here I am today.

The weather outside is::::

Cold, but sunny! It's 32 degrees and nice and bright! 

On the breakfast plate this morning::::

A yoghurt. Plain and simple.

As I look outside my window:::

I see my lawn and my strawberry plants in the garden. 

Right now I am::::

Sitting in the living room on the couch, just typing this post. Glad I found some time to do it!

As I look around the house::::

Everything is done, I did a lot of housework chores during the weekend.

On today's to do list::::

Laundry.... All done over the weekend, like I mentioned above.
Cleaning.... Done

Crocheting.... We'll not crocheting anything at the moment, because I've been sewing, sewing, sewing 

Cooking.....For lunch Soup and sandwiches.

Currently reading::::

Lots of craft magazines and as usual cook books.

On the TV today::::

Not been watching anything in particular.

On the menu this week::::

Monday - Hotdogs.
Tuesday - Been stew, known as feijoada in Portuguese.
Wednesday - Pork Chops with Fries
Thursday - Arroz de Lulas
Friday - Ham and cheese omelets with salad
Saturday - Homemade Pizza
Sunday - Roast in the oven with patatoes, rice and salad.

What I am creating at the moment::::

Going to continue Christmas crafting for the store and start crafting some goods for family and friends of my own.

New recipe I tried or want to try this week::::

Haven't been trying anything new lately, but I did manage to bake a chocolate banana cake and Aletria on Saturday, so I am happy for that! Didn't take pictures of those! The Aletria is gone already and the cake is almost gone, too! Lol

Christmas Trees

Well hello everyone! Haven't been here in a while... But I'm back. I've been very busy! I've been crafting a lot lately and here are some of my Christmas trees already!

 

As you can see I've been working a lot! I just love making these, they give me such pleasure in making them and the end results are fantastic! What about you guys? What have you been up to?

Change the bed linens.

Do Laundry, hang on clothesline, let dry, fold, put away and iron and put away.

Sweep and mop the house.

Maybe bake a cake if I have the time and energy for it! Lol

The weather outside is::::

Wonderful. Sunny. I think The real Summer weather is starting here now! Better late than never.

On the menu this week::::
Monday - Roasted veal with mashed potatoes.
Tuesday - Grilled chicken with rice and salad.

Wednesday - Lasagna and salad.

Thursday - Vegetable soup and sandwiches

Friday - Homemade pizza

Saturday - Bifanas in the bread with fries.
Sunday - Eating out with the family


If I have a few minutes to myself, I will::::

Bake a cake.

New recipe I tried, or want to try this week::::

Pear pie. Didn't get to try it last week.

In the garden::::

Water everything.

Thursday - Vegetable soup and sandwiches
Friday - Homemade pizza
Saturday - Chicken stroganoff
Sunday - Barbecue: Boerewors, burgers, chouricos and steaks. Yummi!

Take some pictures or just take a break and go outside and enjoy myself.

Wednesday - Prego no Prato with fried eggs, rice and salad.
Thursday - Arroz de Polvo
Friday - Homemade pizza. Usually fridays are always pizza days!
Saturday - Going to a Picnic.
Sunday - Macaroni and Cheese.

Homemaking Tip::::
Make your own bags of ice cubes and keep some in stock, by storing the ones you have in a plastic bag in the deep freezer and keep on adding as you go using, never know when you ll need extra ice at once! Or just for get togethers, so you don't run out of ice at The last minute.

Hello my friends, here I am again. I've  been a bit busy around here. House chores and taking care of my son.

Hello everyone! Here I am again, still figuring out how this works, because it is my first time editing a blog. But, I know I 'll nail it. Lol

Good morning everyone. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend with the ones you love and doing things you love. Well I'm new to this, first time, but I enjoy reading these, so if you can't beat them, join them, right? Lol!

Breakfast time....what is on the plate this morning::::
A bowl of cereals and milk.

On today's to do list::::
Laundry - one last load to wash, hang on the clothesline and wait until it's dry!
Sweep and mop the house.
Give the bathrooms a quick cleanup.
Cook
Maybe bake a cake if I have energy towards the end of the day.

Sunday - Beef roast in the oven with potatoes, rice and salad

Have myself a fast manicure. Done by me of course.

Made Zeppoles for the first time last week and transported myself to childhood again! Oh my, I have to repeat again sometime.

Harvested some strawberries and first tomatoes are starting to grow.
